Creation of a book for PSL University, including illustration, layout, and print production.
Developed in collaboration with the PSL Welcome Desk, a service dedicated to student life at PSL University. The Welcome Desk welcomes and supports all international students and researchers at PSL.
A taste can take us back to a meal with our parents, a childhood memory, or a tradition shared with friends. “The Secret Ingredient” is a book exploring these tastes and the positive emotions and memories they evoke.
Each page highlights an ingredient, a recipe, or a restaurant (available in Paris!) that transports the reader to a place where they feel at home. It is the secret ingredient to their well-being and their connection to who they are, wherever they may be.
It is about sharing their culture(s) and seeing what happens!
To bring these stories to life, I chose to create semi-realistic illustrations enhanced with vibrant touches of color. Each color represents the different emotions and memories experienced by the students. A blend of flavors and colors.
Objective: Create a book with a distinctive and cohesive visual identity that conveys emotions and personal stories.
“The secret ingredient” is a book about these tastes and the positive emotions and memories they evoke
“Couldn’t it also be a place for earthly nourishment? Don’t the two have in common the fact that they are essential to all life; both deeply intimate yet also opportunities for sharing and togetherness; spaces of tradition and transmission,
as well as creation, experimentation, and innovation;
Places that shape our identity, while also opening the door to exploring somewhere else. As students and newcomers to PSL, we wish you a delicious, flavorful, and spicy journey… filled with delights and sweet moments! Enjoy!”
